Children
learn as they play. Most importantly, in play children learn how to learn.

I choose
all 3 quotes because, all of them resonate to my childhood. The first quote reminds me of, how my mother
taught my 2 sisters and me to cook in our Easy Bake Oven. We had to remember how much to add when
baking a cake and cooks. This made use
our “Brain” to think, and yes we did.
One time I put too much water in the cake mix and mom said, “Its ok this
time we, will add a little more. The
second quote resonates due to as a child, I would pretend to be the teacher
when playing outside or in the house on rainy days with my siblings. When child notice parents taking up where,
their teacher’s leave off shows their child / children, they are very
interesting in their learning. In my
third quote: As a professional in the Early Childhood Field”, ones should be
aware of other alter nativities to get children to learn which include: Play
Therapy, using pegs and beads for counting / Math. In today’s society I believe parents and the
school system has forgotten the meaning of “Play and how their parents allowed
them to “Play” after school. Children
are sitting in the house becoming obese because, their parents are buying video
games instead of allowing their child / children to exercise their
development. In exercising ones
development means coming hone doing one’s homework, cleaning around the house
and going outside when weather permits.
My mom taught my sisters and me how to cook well as play jacks on the
floor with us, and still today my mom who’s 76 years old and get around like
she’s 65 still will play a game of Jacks with us”. In my home town I understand why some parent
are against their children interacting with others because, children are caring
weapons such as guns, and parents are very afraid as their child / children
step outside to “PLAY”
