Making Play Dough on Rainy Day's and Snow Day's
Children love being creative with their little hands. First talk to the children about the importance of washing their hands before and after the project and playing with the play dough. Discuss with the children the ingredients that's need for the project.
Ingredients need:
1/4 cup salt
1 cup flour
1/4 cup water
Kool - Aid
Glitter
Children will mix the flour and salt in the bowl and slow add water. if the dough is still tuff add more water also, explain to the children this is different from cooking it over the stove. Give each child a section of the dough to knead and add Kool - Aid for coloring and glitter to make the play dough sparkly.

I like the fact that the play dough they are making gives them also texture and working with the fine motor for some children who need it, not just for sensory. Nice project.
